Brian “Axl Rotten” Knighton issued the following letter through his official website to promoters and fans regarding the greatly exaggerated rumors of his demise and his desire to offer more to the professional wrestling world.

AN OPEN LETTER FROM AXL ROTTEN

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Not long ago my wrestling career was seemingly over. I’ve lead a self destructive lifestyle, done things I’m not proud of, and alienated some of the best friends I’ve ever had. At the same time I’ve also entertained thousands of fans around the world and been a major proponent in establishing hardcore wrestling as a legitimate attraction. I’m satisfied that my legacy in this business will live on despite any mistakes. I’m one of the most unruly and outrageous men to ever step foot in the squared circle and will be remembered as such.

That said I still have more to offer this business, and through hard work and a stubborn drive to get back what I once had I am getting in the best physical and mental shape I have been in for many years. I’ve won my battle with Bells Palsy and am beating the s*** out of my demons on a daily basis. Gone are the days of sleeping till midday and popping pills to get me up. Now I’m up at 5am and hitting the gym hard. I’ve been clean and sober for over a year and am ready to work. In fact I NEED to work, for over 20 years this has been all I’ve ever loved.

Promoters and bookers contact me now. If you are after a wrestler to work his a** off for you, and do everything and anything to entertain the crowd then I’m your man. I’m available for matches, autograph signings, personal appearances, training seminars and shoot interviews. In fact my next shoot interview, whoever it be with will be my wildest to date. I’ll drop bombs like a m*********** and tell stories never heard before. In addition I’m looking at having a documentary crew follow my life up and down the road. In my life, the truth is stranger than any fiction that could be written and If you’re in a position to make this happen then contact me, you won’t regret it.
